Barking at the Moon

Barking at the Moon, originally uploaded by JeremyHall.

I set up the tripod and my 40D mounted on a Sigma 50-500 and a lens doubler, both not high end options, but they are adequate for what I typically use them for. I sighted in the moon and then turned on the Live View function of the 40D to make the minor focal adjustment.

What an awesome picture, I was so ticked trying to take pictures of the moon the other day. I am glad that someone figured out how to do it…

  1. Thanks for the nod 🙂 I hope to have a good series of these over the next few weeks with the Daddy/daughter project depending on how clear the sky is with the coming weather.

  2. Jeremy, you did that with a Nikon 40D? That is soo cool. I have a Nikon 40D and would love to take pictures like this.

    What is a lens doubler?

  3. @Thom Allen – I think that he was shooting with a Canon 40D, rather then the Nikon D40… They could have been a little more creative with the names don’t cha think?
